If your dreamy session is at the beach, with the ocean breeze and the most beautiful sunset or sunrise, I got you covered. In this post, I'll share with you all my favourite locations for photoshoots in Sydney, Australia.

The reasons why these are my favourites are not because of their famous names or easy access. It is simply because of their simplicity and rawness. The textures of the untouched rocks, the natural pools, the light that is reflected in the waters and the privacy and peace that is found if you go at certain times and days of the week.

I assure you, after seeing these images, you'll definitely add these locations to your bucket list:

  • Manly wormhole
  • Turimetta Beach
  • Malabar beach
  • Bronte Beach
  • Ivo Rowe Rock Pool
  • Milk Beach
  • Lady Bay Beach
  • Coogee Beach
  • Maroubra Beach

IF YOUR VIBE IS OCEAN, SAND & SUNRISE...

Manly Wormhole

This is a secret location that many people don't know about, and it is easily accessed from Manly Beach. You literally walk through the rocks to find a beautiful view of the sea and the sunrise (I highly recommend going on a weekday, a few minutes before the sun appears on the horizon). Trust me, it will be so worth it.

Turimetta Beach

This beach looks like it was taken from a movie in Bali. The rock formation combined with the waves and cliffs makes this beach a favorite for intimate female or couple shoots. Whether at sunrise or sunset, the light is perfect!

Malabar Beach

This beach also has beautiful rock formations and is a little smaller. I recommend going very early, before sunrise. Take advantage of the waveless tide to take photos in the water!

Bronte Beach

Bronte has an inexplicable vibe. Despite being a very famous and busy beach, it is possible to find small spots without people in the background if you arrive early on a weekday. The sunrise is definitely my go-to.

Ivo Rowe Rock Pool, in South Coogee

This location is not a beach itself but is a formation of natural pools. The rocks and the view here are inexplicable (I swear, the first time I saw them, tears of emotion ran down my face). I highly recommend you check it out!

Milk Beach

This beach is one of the most famous for watching the sunset in Sydney. That's because you'll have a wonderful view of the sun setting behind the Harbor Bridge. It is very small and can be full of visitors. It is recommended that you go in low season (preferably a day that is not too hot) and during the week, if you want to enjoy it more exclusively.

Lady Bay Beach

This is the ideal beach for taking intimate and purposeful photos, such as artistic nudes. But don't be alarmed if you see other naked bodies, as this is a nudist beach, one of the few in Sydney. The sunset is beautiful, and it also gives you a background of the city.

Coogee Beach

In addition to the obvious scenery of the beautiful Coogee beach, I suggest you continue the path through the Goldstein Reserve and pay attention to the beautiful landscapes and rock formations of the Coastal Walk walls. You'll be amazed by so many beautiful views.

Maroubra Beach
